Hello! This is exciting, and great to find someone who is organizing similar good work on the importance of the UN on the 24th.
We intentionally linked our global day of actions for 350 with UN day because of its importance. It doesn't get enough attention, and having all these 350 events focused on the UN negotiations for climate change, it made perfect sense to connect it to the 24th of October.
There are some great events linking 350, the UN, and the idea of common humanity - in London, we're hosting a Bigger Picture event, billed as a Festival of Interdependence of all peoples on Earth.
We're very flexible with the 350 idea, and I'd love to see more events like this in other places.
350 adds the common humanity part to that -- the number that we, as a species, must understand and work together as one global community to achieve.
The UN is the best forum to achieve the 350 goal, in fact, maybe the only one that can really make it happen globally.
Bringing the messages together I think makes great sense.
